Partnerships at Adyen

At Adyen, over 40% of deals that go live involve a partner. The Partnership’s Team five year plan is to continue to accelerate our growth curve and get that number well north of 70%. To help drive this five year mission we are seeking an experienced Senior Alliance Partner Manager to spearhead the expansion of Adyen’s Alliance Partnerships program in North America (US & Canada). 

In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with cultivating and expanding relationships with regional system integrators, payment consultants, digital agencies, ISOs, and other mid-sized regional partners who contribute significant deal pipeline for our commercial sales org. Adyen boasts a robust technology partnerships portfolio, including industry leaders such as Adobe, Salesforce, Microsoft, Oracle, Shopify, Commercetools, and more.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of how payments integrate into these diverse landscapes and will strategically collaborate to maximize mutual benefits with partners operating in these domains. With a blend of business and product expertise, you will proactively identify, develop, and nurture key strategic channel partnerships for Adyen. This involves building partner relationships, enablement & support, co-marketing, performance optimization,  and implementing innovative initiatives. In addition, the ability to effectively manage a portfolio of partners and be strategic with prioritization.

What you’ll do

  • Become the go-to payment expert and consultant for our regional partners in US & Canada, showcasing a profound understanding of Adyen's cutting-edge financial technology solution.
  • Lead the charge in drafting, negotiating, and closing strategic regional partner agreements that not only boost our North American sales pipeline but also propel us to accelerating our share of wallet across existing merchants
  • Manage partners with focus on enablement, co-marketing, account mapping, co-selling, certification & support while helping the team innovate within these processes
  • Harness automation, technology, and streamlined processes to cultivate and expand partnerships, ensuring scalable and fruitful relations with our valued partners
  • Collaborate on crafting innovative joint go-to-market strategies with partners, driving alignment and delivering value to our end customers.

Who you are

  • Experience building partnerships with regional system integrators, payment consultants, digital agencies & ISOs preferably within the payments space, experience in enterprise SAAS or technology also preferred
  • 8-10+ years of experience in a direct partnerships or alliances facing role
  • Ability to think and operate like an entrepreneur, a go-getter mentality
  • Ability to see the bigger picture in channel management using a global and commercial mindset
  • Flexible, professional, accurate and structured
  • Excellent organizational skills as we are a flat organization with a lot of autonomy
  • This role is based out of our San Francisco or New York office
  • This is a full-time position with the ability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week
  • You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English
