Product Manager - Platform Excellence 

The Platforms & Financial Services Group is Adyen’s fastest growing product area. Our ambition is to “build the best platform solution on the planet, enabling platforms to maximize their competitive advantage through integrated financial products and services”. From embedding payments for traditional marketplaces like eBay, granting a loan to customers of SaaS platforms like Toast and issuing a card to the creator on Pinterest; the possibilities are endless. 

The Platform Excellence team’s mission is to foster the operational excellence of the Platforms & Financial Services Group by crafting frameworks and deploying essential tooling that engineers can easily integrate into their projects. The team acts as an enabler for (internal) engineers and product managers, allowing them to deliver high quality products. 

What you’ll do 

  • Gain profound insights into the needs and challenges to continue to deliver high quality products at scale. 
  • Craft and execute on the roadmap, effectively prioritizing initiatives based on customer impact, urgency, business value, and resource constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to drive adoption of your products. 
  • Establish metrics, processes, and dashboards for monitoring and evaluating the success of the product.

Who you are 

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience in a high-growth software company 
  • Strategy thinking - Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for the team. This involves analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to address them effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders. This involves clearly articulating requirements, coordinating efforts, and resolving roadblocks as they arise.
  • Technical aptitude - A good understanding of software development practices and comfortable going deep with developers, product managers, support engineers on APIs, RabbitMQ, SonarQube and other relevant technical tools.  
  • Problem-solving and Adaptability: Proficient at identifying challenges and developing creative solutions to address them, while being able to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and circumstances to ensure the team remains effective and efficient in achieving its goals.
