Sales Operations & Commissions Specialist

The Commercial Enablement team at Adyen has an enabling function with the mission to ensure commercial teams to run efficiently, effectively and in line with the business strategy. We support the commercial organization by driving results. In this role you will be, as part of the wider team, responsible for initiatives that drive efficiency & results for the commercial teams. With a strong focus on helping to win deals & incentives to drive more success. 

In your role you are one of the Adyen sales culture gatekeepers, driving the desired ways of working in sales on global deals. In order to do this, you will educate commercial teams on ‘the etiquette’ that comes with working in the global sales team and ensure our incentive plans support that. You will be the one in charge of executing the incentive plans for Sales, SDRs and Account managers from start to finish. In order to do this successfully, you will need to have experience working with tools that support this process (Salesforce a must, CaptivateIQ preferred). Not only will you be executing the plans, you will also look at introducing incentives that help drive focus and sell new products in line with our commercial strategy. 

As your role is to drive sales success, other topics where you will collaborate on with Sales, Finance and Strategy are sales enablement tools, ways of working, sales planning and forecasting. This is why we need somebody with a can-do attitude who can roll up his/her sleeves and work across different teams & on different topics.  

What you’ll do

  • Drive the commercial teams to work in line with our global ways of working & sales culture
  • Manage all aspects of the commission process end-to-end ensuring correct and timely payouts each quarter.
  • Design and introduce sales incentives that help unlocking new growth opportunities and support strategic commercial objectives
  • Implement & communicate commission plan changes and proactively continue evaluation and improvements 
  • Be the go-to-person responsible for all commission related queries
  • Manage our commissions tool (Salesforce & CaptivateIQ)
  • Manage and (co-)introduce with other teams sales enablement tools helping to drive sales successes
  • Work together with Finance and Strategy on projects related to sales, planning and forecasting

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Business or a related quantitative degree field.
  • 2/3+ years of experience with Sales Operations
  • Tool (admin) experience, such as Salesforce and other commission tools is a plus such as CaptivateIQ
  • You have experience working with multiple teams and coordinating different requests
  • You like working on multiple different initiatives driving sales success
  • You can communicate across all levels in the organisation
  • Experience in company with a fast pace and lots of freedom is a big plus
