POSITION SUMMARY:  TherapyDirect offers same-day, online counseling to people in Colorado, age 18+.  Goals of the TherapyDirect program include providing timely, convenient, and efficient access to early intervention and treatment for Colorado residents experiencing urgent behavioral health issues and/or worsening of pre- existing mental health conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, with emphasis on reducing behavioral health disparities and increasing health equity.  This position provides clinical and administrative supervision to a multi-disciplinary team including clinical, peer specialists and administrative staff to ensure efficient team operations. Coordinate with crisis services and community partners to promote connections to care.  Organize team training and implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance the quality of treatment for people we serve. Operate within established budgetary guidelines.  This position also works extensively with internal and external partners, departments, and stakeholders to support program growth and expansion.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure accuracy, quality and efficiency standards are met with regards to medical records standards and case management services for consumers. Advocate appropriate services for consumers.
  • Identify, implement and monitor customer service standards to ensure team is meeting internal and external customer needs and perform all services in a professional manner.
  • Participate in the development of long and short-term goals for the team that are consistent with program and organizational goals.
  • Train and evaluate clinical, peers and administrative support staff to maintain quality within the team, encourage growth and development of staff while instilling awareness of cultural diversity.
  • Complete performance evaluations timely and provide appropriate coaching and counseling to ensure all employees perform at satisfactory levels, identify when discipline is appropriate.
  • Participate in the selection process for internal and external candidates for clinical and support positions.
  • Conduct timely audits to ensure compliance with WellPower policies, State and other regulatory policies regarding clinical care and documentation. Revise and update internal policies.
  • Assist with the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs of the team. Take corrective action as needed to ensure compliance of established budget.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Promote program with community partners and support access to care in a variety of settings
  • Other duties as assigned by Associate Director or Vice President.

EDUCATION:   Master’s in social work, Counseling program or related field, LCSW, LMFT or LPC required.

 

EXPERIENCE:   One to two years manager or supervisory experience. Three to five years in mental health or human services field; proficiency in crisis and emergency response preferred.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Solid customer and community relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise written memos, letters and reports of a complex nature.
  • Ability to supervise a multi-disciplinary staff: Clinical and Administrative.
  • Ability to chart, document, review and present clinical cases to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand different cultural needs of consumer and communicate effectively.
  • Solid knowledge of clinical supervision.
  • Solid knowledge of case management skills and care coordination.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose and assess consumers in crisis and non-crisis situations.
  • Solid knowledge of management applications as they relate to the mental health environment.
  • Ability to create a treatment and/or outcome plan with measurable results. Includes transition and discharge planning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with internal and external customers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Clinical and administrative staff 

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:  Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching.  May require lifting up to 40 pounds.   Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.
