About the Role:

NextRoll is seeking an agile People Business Partner to collaborate with both the broader People team and business leaders on a strategic and operational level. Encompassing all People Partner functions, specific emphasis will be on business partnering, people development, process optimization, performance management, and employee engagement.

Team Overview:

The People team is an integral and critical partner within the company as a whole. As an HRBP within the team, you represent the company’s values and goals to all our employees and strengthen their knowledge of our purpose as a business. We work cross functionally throughout the organization to understand the particular needs of the business units and to ensure that the business units' personal capital is well aligned for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with our Product Management and Engineering teams within our San Francisco location
  • Partner with organizational leaders at all levels on talent management to ensure employee experience and performance is aligned with company culture and objectives
  • Advise and support managers regarding change initiatives, people/performance decisions and actions, talent management & development, workforce planning, retention and engagement, employee communication, culture management, inclusion and diversity, and People programs and services in support of achieving business goals
  • Build business-partner relationships with management and employees to evolve business, goals, and challenges; and identify and/or help to address systemic issues
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to engage the right talent that fits the business unit and company culture and promotes talent diversity
  • Work collaboratively with People team to review, recommend and implement changes to processes to ensure optimization, streamlining, and compliance
  • Provide support and information to employees on basic human resources issues and processes
  • Enthusiastically seek to adopt and maintain best-practices as a People organization professional in the tech space
  • Demonstrate success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and leadership programs
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and facilitating learning and development initiatives to meet the specific business needs

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree
  • 6-8 years of relevant, progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment supporting tech orgs
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment with a high level of ambiguity
  • Working knowledge of employment regulations and legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through skills and resourcefulness
  • Experience with organizational development and employee training programs
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with company culture as well as standards, practices, policies, procedures, or governmental law
  • Excellent communication skills - you will be an articulate and persuasive communicator
