The Role

Addepar is seeking a Director, Global Workplace & Real Estate to lead all aspects of Addepar’s Workplace Operations function. Based in the UK, this role will oversee a global team that crafts and supports Addepar’s in-person working experience. This leader will be responsible for a substantial departmental budget, including Addepar's real estate portfolio, consisting of 7 locations and growing. As a player-coach, this role's responsibilities include developing talent on the Workplace team and pushing the organisation to maintain high standards for experience, safety, and culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Own all facilities management operations, including maintenance, engineering, mail, conference services, vendor management and asset/transaction management, hospitality, and corporate security.
  • Establish and manage annual strategic facility and capital plan budgets that elevate property value, proactively identify cost savings and efficiencies, and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Manage global 3rd party real estate support to service level agreements, employee food and beverage, workplace technology and key performance indicators, while consistently identifying service gaps and collaborating with local teams for effective resolution.
  • Manage Addepar’s physical security policies in partnership with the Information Security team; ensure compliance with employee health and safety policies in a growing number of jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement strategy to achieve the highest building tenancy levels through programming that provides stellar in-office employee experiences aligned with local and global programs
  • Establish and maintain critical relationships with cross functional collaborators, while serving as liaison and consultant to on-site senior leaders for facility and workplace requirements

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an emphasis in Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in corporate workplace operations, property management & real estate, particularly showcased through the impact of the physical workplace on workplace culture
  • Strong collaborative skills with a natural ability to build bridges by prioritising clear and open communication and an atmosphere in which information flows smoothly and timely through the organisation
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation collaborating with C-Suite and senior business leaders to influence decisions and achieve results, while breaking down company-level strategic plans into actionable goals at the team level
  • Direct experience globally sourcing new offices and negotiating advantageous commercial leases.
  • Excellent communication and planning, with the ability to promote building services and events that are easily attended, while providing change management leadership for large initiatives
