The Role

We’re looking for a motivated, collaborative, and creative individual to own content design projects and deliver exceptional results.

In this role, you’ll lead strategic content initiatives that make our products easier to learn. You’ll craft intuitive and innovative information-first workflows that our clients love. You’ll evolve and unify content hierarchy, terminology, and voice and tone across products. You’ll use data, insights, and user feedback to tell a better story about what we’re building and why.

Our ideal candidate has a strong growth mindset, manages their time especially well, and uses data to make the best decisions. Most important, you're an outstanding communicator that can influence cross-functional partners and secure buy-in for your vision.

This is not a content marketing, advertising, or copywriting role.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $115,000 - $180,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver clear, comprehensive, and data-informed content strategies that align with business goals and elevate the content design practice at Addepar.
  • Activate your content strategy through engaging experiences that span the user journey, from onboarding to troubleshooting.
  • Craft concise, user-centered content that explains financial concepts and functionalities in a way that’s easy to understand, for experts and non-experts alike.
  • Balance data, logic, and compassion to make informed content decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior cross-functional partners to scope, rank, and complete your work. Regularly share updates and iterate as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Addepar’s target personas. Stay current on industry standards and emerging content design trends.
  • Contribute to our design system. Define and champion design metrics and processes that scale.
  • Provide regular editorial review of launch and training materials.
  • Mentor and coach junior designers. Encourage continuous growth and learning.

Who You Are

  • 6+ years in content design, ideally in Fintech.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, information architecture, and user experience (UX) principles. Experience with—and a point of view on—scaling content.
  • Skilled at conducting comprehensive content research. For example: user journey and ecosystem mapping, content audits, and competitor research.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a keen eye for detail. Able to translate user needs into engaging narratives.
  • Able to collaborate, influence, and drive decision-making with cross-functional teams. People enjoy working with you!
  • Highly adaptable to change. Can navigate diverse working styles and team dynamics, and shift priorities as needed.
  • Can balance short-term tactical work with long-term strategic goals. Also able to balance the constraints of legacy designs with transformational updates and enhancements.
  • Proficient in Figma and Jira. Leverages AI to design more efficiently.
  • Experience designing for mobile is a plus.

PHISHING SCAM WARNING: Addepar is among several companies recently made aware of a phishing scam involving con artists posing as hiring managers recruiting via email, text and social media. The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote “interviews,” and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Additionally, Addepar will not ask you to purchase equipment or supplies as part of your onboarding process. If you have any questions, please reach out to TAinfo@addepar.com.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
