The Role
The Quality Platform team, consisting of Quality Engineers and Release Management, is entrusted with being the last bastion of scrutiny before we release our products to our clients.
We are currently seeking a to join our Quality Engineering team. As a Sr. Software Engineer in Test, you will work closely with our collaborators, including but not limited to Developers, SRE, Security Engineers, DevOps etc. to deliver high-quality software.
The ideal candidate will have a background in a financial market and have strong quality engineering experience. You are methodical, a self-starter, and passionate about quality which is key to the growth and success of our products.
What You’ll Do
- Work with Engineering teams across different time zones in the US, India, and Scotland to validate product features and capabilities, identify and resolve reported issues
- Design and implement tests for new and existing features
- Assist in writing automated test scripts using test frameworks
- Ensure timely and high-quality releases of Addepar products
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements to continuously improve the quality of backend systems
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s/ Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance experience with at least 2 years of experience in finance domain (preferably capital market)
- Proficiency with one or more object-oriented programming language (Java and/or Python preferred)
- Extensive experience with back-end data testing with strong ability to investigate on technical issues with developers
- Experience with Agile methodology/process
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding and application of standard processes in Software Quality Engineering
- Proficient in GitHub, RESTful API test tools, test infrastructure, and CI systems
- Ability to design, implement, and test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver or Pytest
- Work with and implement test libraries and tools to improve test automation efficiency
- Experience with testing of Cloud-native (preferably AWS) application
- Experience with SQL/MySQL or PySpark SQL
- Experience working with Databricks or similar
- Experience with load/performance testing
- Experience working Kubernetes, Docker, or any container orchestration solution is desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
