Responsibilities:
- Analyze revenue cycle processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of revenue cycle inefficiencies or issues.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including revenue cycle managers, billing specialists, IT staff, and clinical teams, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Develop business requirements, process maps, and documentation to support revenue cycle improvement initiatives, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart.
- Partner with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions, leveraging Python, UiPath, Django, and other relevant technologies, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Participate in the testing and implementation of revenue cycle software upgrades or enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.
- Provide training and support to end-users on new processes, systems, or tools, including the creation of user guides and training materials.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to revenue cycle performance, utilizing tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and provide regular reports and analysis to management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes impacting revenue cycle management, and incorporate relevant insights into process improvement efforts.
- Act as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle processes and systems, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in revenue cycle management or healthcare finance, with a focus on business analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL).
- Experience with revenue cycle management software (e.g., NextGen) preferred.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and automation tools like UiPath.
- Experience with web development frameworks like Django.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, compliance requirements, and reimbursement methodologies preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
