We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our team of experienced engineers. In this role, you will tackle real-world production challenges, manage petabytes of data, and oversee thousands of servers spanning over 50 data centers worldwide.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in deploying and maintaining data center infrastructure based on Linux (RHEL-based), possess excellent communication skills in English for vendor interactions, and demonstrate strong automation capabilities to streamline processes effectively.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deploy and maintain hardware and software components in remote data centers.
- Monitor and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure across remote data centers.
- Evaluate, optimize, and modify system performance.
- Develop automation tools to simplify routine tasks.
- Document data center infrastructure and standard operating procedures.
WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- 3+ years of experience in remote Data Center System Administration.
- Advanced expertise with Linux Operating Systems (preferably CentOS), including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, patching, maintenance, and firmware/BIOS updates.
- Strong proficiency in server hardware management and maintenance (e.g., drives, RAID, host-based adapters).
- Solid understanding of the TCP/IP stack and advanced networking skills, including troubleshooting, patching, recovery, DHCP, routing, and VLAN management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Linux certifications (e.g., RHCA, RHCE, or RHCSA).
- Automation expertise using Ansible and Python.
- Basic SQL scripting knowledge.
