We are looking for an experienced and driven Marketing Operations Database Analyst to join our Marketing team. The Marketing Operations database analyst is responsible for defining, maintaining and reporting on marketing account and contact data records, along with quality assurance. This role is tactically focused on assuring the uniformity and quality of data records used within the marketing automation platform (MAP) and sales force automation (SFA) system. As part of their responsibility, they will manage multiple data projects and work with staff across our Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, and Business Systems team, to establish the processes for data management, enrichment and segmentation. They will act in between Data Management and Marketing Analytics teams to guide both sides where data sits to analyze and what needs to happen in Data Management to fulfill analytical / reporting needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze account and contact data, including customer data
  • Analyze marketing program requirements for data
  • Conduct gap analysis to determine the status of existing data
  • Define and implement data acquisition and update activities to maintain database at desired coverage and quality levels
  • Document data schema
  • Monitor and report on database quality metrics
  • Fulfills data requests for the Marketing organization
  • Builds reports and dashboards (PowerBI) based on operational needs
  • Translates the analytical business requirements into data management tasks to be able to report on specific needs
  • Manage projects and investigations related to the database

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Marketing or Business or other related fields or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, marketing operations or IT field
  • Experience with data warehouse analysis work
  • Experience with Marketo and/or salesforce.com
  • Experience with PowerBI tool to build dashboards and reports
  • Strong data evaluation skills – with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources and transform it into insights and recommendations
  • Ability to work with business owners and data consumers to define data and reporting requirements
  • Proven experience with relational database design and operation – including normalization and development using SQL or other query development tools
  • Experience working with ETL tools
  • Experience working with business owners in defining reporting and data requirements
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional and matrixed environment
  • Excels at problem solving and approaching issues in multiple ways
  • Analytical thinker with strong logical mind, flexible/adaptable, detail-oriented
  • Team player who is also able to work both in collaboration and independently with minimum supervision
