Summary

Cyber Security Expert Support Engineer acts as the main expert contact for Acronis customers and partners on the incidents related to Cyber Security products and services. The person in this role works as a part of Cyber Security team in Support and handles advanced incidents and tasks escalated from the other Support teams, which require specific Cyber Security expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Acronis customer and partners over the phone and email on Cyber Security incidents, provide timely, clear and technically correct responses on the status of the incidents assigned to the engineer.
  • Perform the initial triage, assessment and analysis of Cyber Security attacks or vulnerabilities discovered at Acronis partners or customers. Advise on mitigation steps, co-operate with other Acronis departments like Professional Services or Cyber Security Labs when an incident calls for it.
  • Investigate and report any Cyber Security issues found with Acronis products and services to the responsible departments within Acronis.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of past experience in Cyber Security area (work at Managed Security Service Provider or Cyber Security Software vendor is a plus).
  • Good spoken and written English (C1 or higher).
  • Advanced technical knowledge of how IT infrastructure and services work: operating systems, network, storage systems, enterprise software and services, etc.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security threats assessment and mitigation (black-box/grey-box/white-box testing, patch management, malware detection).
  • Knowledge of post-mortem incident analysis and incident triage tools.
