Summary:

Acquia is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Field Marketing to lead our marketing efforts in the Americas region. In this pivotal role, you will partner closely with the sales team, planning, organizing, and implementing programs to drive enterprise pipeline growth and support revenue objectives. The position involves using a data-driven approach for maximum impact. Responsibilities also extend to the strategic management of live events within the overall marketing mix, focusing on improving engagement through cohesive pre-event, at-event, and post-event strategies.

The ideal candidate, with a consistent track record in building and leading field marketing teams, excels in implementing high-touch experiences and achieving measurable results in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires a strategic approach, exceptional collaboration skills, and the ability to effectively balance local and corporate needs.

Responsible for:

  • Build and implement an integrated marketing plan, combining locally created initiatives with global activities in collaboration with the sales team and cross-functional marketing partners
  • Implement and run target account strategies supporting account-based marketing and selling
  • Proactively engage with sales teams to coordinate, communicate and optimize the impact of marketing activities
  • Communicate and educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities including global, regional and local programs
  • Lead ongoing relationships with vendors and event partners, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
  • Maintain budget trackers and event planning documents, facilitating goal alignment through effective communication
  • Lead a successful team in implementing measurable field marketing programs
  • Analyze and provide feedback on the team's campaigns, tactics, and messaging
  • Track program results, measure success and report metrics to partners across the business
  • Develop and implement bold event strategies, emphasizing pipeline and revenue generation with a focus on return on investment
  • Lead pre- and post-event initiatives, including logistics, promotion, and return on investment measurement

Job Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in field marketing, regional marketing or related roles with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Shown success in developing and implementing field marketing strategies driving pipeline growth and revenue
  • Experience in high-tech or enterprise software industries preferred
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with various cross-functional teams and align tactical plans with strategies
  • Proficient with marketing automation, CRM and account based management tools such as 6Sense to track, measure, and report on campaign performance
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to use data and market insights to make informed decisions and optimize programs and marketing return on investment
  • Strong communication skills, emphasis on effective collaboration, coordination, and attention to detail
  • Creative problem solver who is adept at working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable adding new ideas
  • Detail oriented with strong program management skills, balanced with the ability to think strategically
  • Willingness to travel as needed
