AgilOne, a subsidiary of Acquia, is a Customer Data and Engagement Hub that provides enterprise consumer marketers the power to integrate customer data across digital, physical, and mobile channels, deliver customer analytics with predictive insights and 360-degree profiles, and engage customers at every touch point in order to maximize lifetime value. Currently, the AgilOne solution supports more than 150 brands worldwide.

AgilOne leverages the latest technologies in big data, machine learning and data quality management to deliver an enterprise-grade, scalable and high performance tool for customers such as Tumi, Lululemon, Lilly Pulitzer and David’s Tea.

Shift hours: Night shift (US PST hours overlap is a must)

As a QA Engineer, you will…

  • Contribute towards the quality of every code release into production.
  • Design, implement, document and execute test cases
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to come up with test strategy
  • Develop scripts and utilities for use by the QA team
  • Ensure we deliver quality products, take and receive criticism, have fun and care about your results, your growth, and team's.

You’ll enjoy this role if you…

  • Have owned end-to-end test plans, test framework/architecture and test execution.
  • Have led initiatives/projects in quality assurance.
  • Created tools, scripts for QA automation.

 

What you’ll need to be successful…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field  
  • 2+ years experience in Big Data testing (eg pipelines and/or ETL processes) including expertise in but not limited to Hive, Yarn, MapReduce, Kafka, Spark, Oozie. Cloudera Hadoop (CDH) and Impala experience is a big plus
  • Experience with Agile development process (eg Scrum)
  • Strong SQL skills. HiveQL experience is a big plus
  • Experience with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (eg HBase, MongoDB)
  • Experience designing tests in a continuous integration/deployment environment
  • Experience with RESTful API testing
  • Effective communication skills
