Acquia is looking for a Business Development Leader to be a player-coach for our growing APJ region. Our BDRs are the first point of contact for all new prospects to discuss Acquia's products and services. This role is critical to the business as the team's goal is to have engaging conversations with our clients to discover their challenges, their requirements, and help them determine the most appropriate Acquia solution for their needs. As the Business Development Leader you will be coaching a team of Business Development Representatives who are early in their career and will drive volume of leads and mentor the team to success.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a business development team to create new revenue opportunities by educating our inbound leads and prospects about open source, digital transformation and Acquia
  • Oversee and conduct high volume daily metrics  (50-60 calls,targeted emails and VITO letters, email videos and discovery callsper day) to qualify leads and prospects
  • Qualify prospects' needs and effectively map them to Acquia's offerings
  • Work closely with account executives and marketing to lead and implement strategy and process
  • Train Business Development Representatives to become an industry expert and develop product mastery
  • Consistently achieve (and exceed!) quarterly quotas and goals
  • Report to Sales Leadership on pipeline; trends and opportunities

You must have:

  • 5-6 years in Technology Sales with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity
  • A proven record of sales success
  • Leadership skills and business acumen
  • Confident and effective leader with experience managing a team
  • Superb communication skills: written and verbal
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, challenging technology environment
  • Organized, able to work to tight deadlines and able to coordinate diaries with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and absorb material quickly
  • “One speed energy" self motivated with a constant sense of urgency
  • Attention to the details; organized and metric-driven


  • You will receive 1 weeks intense Sales Enablement Training in our headquarters in Boston, USA during your first quarter
  • Continuous Sales Enablement support and opportunities to improve leadership and coaching
