The Network team at Acquia is responsible for the Acquia Cloud UI, API, and associated services, including authentication, profile management, entitlements, Acquia Uptime, and Acquia Insight. The Engineering manager is a mid-level position that will be responsible for personnel and technical management for a distributed team of 3 - 8 engineers consisting of both front and back end software engineers.

refine and deliver requirements for development engagements.
Enjoys working side by side with developers to resolve architectural and code issues,
able to contribute to code reviews as necessary.
Provides a balance between technical excellence and product delivery goals.
Has played a role as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and / or Project Manager.
Provides insight into the effectiveness of the development teams.
Provides upward communication on status, metrics, and risk along with recommendations for remediation.
3+ years of management experience
5+ years of software engineering experience
Experience managing and participating in Agile teams
Experience managing and working with distributed teams
Familiarity with the LAMP stack, primarily PHP
Familiarity with AWS services, ideally with development experience
Familiarity with front end frameworks such as Angular
Familiarity with issue tracking and project management systems such as JIRA
Strong written and verbal communication skills
