Goal: 

As aCommerce Product Specialist, you work closely with one of our senior Product Managers to build on our bleeding edge suite of IQ products. Ecommerce in Southeast Asia is evolving every week.  We want you to always be on top of ecommerce trends in customer trends across the region across all forms of ecommerce, whether marketplaces, social and chat platforms or webstores.  We also want you to anticipate the continuously changing needs of our client brands and understand from clients and internal users how we can make our products even better.  We want you to think about how we can further productize everything we do for our client brands and their customers, define the commercials and the Go-To-Market approach for your product.

But you will also work closely with the Engineering team, creating the User Stories and acting as Product Owner in the standups for your scrum team, ensuring that we build our products right and efficiently.  You will be the guru for your product, for the engineering team as well as for the other teams at aCommerce.

Responsibilities: 

Define and deliver the product features to execute on our corporate and product strategy while meeting the future needs of our clients and users. Specifically, this role will be doing:

  • Determine business priorities based upon business impact and quantified criteria with senior management across the region
  • Manage product backlog, ensuring it is at all times aligned with product roadmap and delivery commitment
  • Understand and articulate the true problem statement and user’s requirements
  • Ensure solutions fit into overall product vision
  • Use prototyping and minimum viable product launches to validate new features and products
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to make sure that the work and launch are well-collaborated among teams
  • Describe product roadmap and requirements to technical team members and work with architects to clarify deep details
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams to align objectives.
  • Fulfill the role of Product Owner in agile ceremonies
  • Plan and communicate to all stakeholders the feature release schedule, including release note document
  • Create user guide, user training, and when required “Standard Operating Procedure” to ensure that users are expected to follow a certain process to ensure the pipeline works correctly and conduct internal and client training sessions
  • Lead user acceptance and E2E test execution
  • Identify possible risks for projects and take measures to prevent these and escalate if needed
  • Communicate clearly with all business and operations stakeholders about launch timeline and progress
  • Manage resources and track progress to ensure the development plan remains on schedule
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing engine to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot issues, validate data accuracy, and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Validate billing engine outputs to ensure data correctness and consistency.
  • Conduct regular audits and analyses to preemptively address discrepancies

Qualifications:

In order to succeed in this role, we are looking for an individual with the following skill sets and experiences:

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Ability to understand system and data flows and represent these properly in a workflow or diagram
  • Basic understanding of SQL and the ability to analyze system-generated data.

Soft Skills and Other details:

  • Strong communication skills, experience of translating business requirements into product functional requirements.
  • Ability to represent complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand for non-technical users and clients
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience as Product Owner or Business Analyst
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to ‘get hands dirty’
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in and understanding of agile development processes
  • Familiarity with revenue and billing systems is a plus
