The American Civil Liberties Union of Utah seeks to hire a passionate and innovative part-time Intake Coordinator to build upon our past and current system for responding to requests for help by individuals who live in or pass through the State of Utah.
The Intake Coordinator is a newly-created position that will report to the Paralegal and have occasion to work with the larger legal team and other staff members across the organization.
This position is a part-time, 20 hours a week position. The position is fully funded for one year. Continuation of the position beyond that date is uncertain and dependent on funding.

Position Overview and Functions:
The Intake Coordinator provides support and coordination for the ACLU of Utah’s Intake and Complaint System and works under the supervision of the Paralegal and the Senior Staff Attorney.
Specifically, the Intake Coordinator will:
- Assist with the management of the incoming complaint process;
- Manage the input of complaint data into the Advanced Legal Intake System (ALIS) and other internal filing systems;
- Update and manage the general complaint response documents;
- Oversee the day to day activities of our volunteers;
- Support national ACLU initiatives related to the affiliate intake and complaint system;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualified candidates will have:

- Any experience working with databases;
- Experience in any human service industry or profession, for example, as a social worker, a medical or mental health worker or assistant, a teacher or teaching assistant; in customer service or community organizing;
- Proficiency in a language other than English, particularly in Spanish;
SALARY & BENEFITS:
The salary range for this position is $20,000-22,500 depending on experience.
