The Accounting Clerk

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, because we aren't slowing down anytime soon!  As the Accounting Clerk, you will work with our small (but mighty) accounting team to support ACG's rapid growth.  Following the acquisition of Linux Academy, ACG is working hard to integrate systems and streamline processes.  In addition to daily accounting responsibilities, you will have opportunities to work on process improvements, systems integrations and special projects.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Experience the high-volume activity and immense growth that comes as the result of our recent acquisition
  • Work with A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Finance to ensure our combined processes are efficient, reliable, and scalable
  • Assist in the process of unifying A Cloud Guru and Linux Academy's accounting processes, to include merging of data and new systems integrations 
  • Work proactively to identify any problems or inefficiencies in our existing accounting processes
  • Work on special projects with cross-functional business partners (including Sales, Marketing, and Business Operations)
  • Work with a hilarious Finance & Accounting team

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Learn new software and processes quickly
  • Assist our accounting team in delivering a seamless month-end (and year-end) close
  • Audit invoices and payment transactions for accuracy
  • Confidently explain complex findings using simple language
  • Quickly pivot to compile ad-hoc reporting
  • Work proactively identify problems and present possible solutions

If you have the following experience, we'd love to hear from you!

  • 1+ years' accounting clerk experience; Internship experience will be considered
  • Experience with A/P and A/R
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Experience working with SaaS or subscription-based customers (preferred)
  • Experience with accounting software migration and integration (a plus)
  • Experience in a start-up or scale-up is highly advantageous

Our team is spread across the globe, primarily in the US, Australia and the UK. This role will be based in our offices in Austin, Texas. While we do have remote workers, this role requires you to be in our Austin, TX office.
