ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are seeking a Lead Pricing Strategist to shape our pricing strategies and drive revenue optimization by facilitating innovation in how we price our products. Your experience gathering customer and market insights will be used to influence our product positioning, profitability, and market competitiveness. We're looking for a strategic thinker with a robust analytical background, proven experience in B2C eCommerce, superior problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of pricing strategy and tactics.  If you think that pricing is both an art and a science and you're excited about using data to impact our business in real, tangible ways, this role offers the chance to do just that. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Evolve pricing, packaging, and upselling strategies to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning, and long-term profits for all Aceable brands
  • You will do everything from ideation and high level strategy to implementation of product pricing and packaging as part of an integrated team.
  • Conduct market research and customer surveys to gather valuable insights into industry trends, competitive landscape, customer preferences, and price sensitivity and use this data to inform and refine our pricing strategy
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop pricing recommendations across all brands, products, and geographies
  • Research and run price tests in collaboration with the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) team
  • Monitor the market to ensure we maintain competitiveness 
  • Develop business cases for changes in pricing and packaging
  • Develop revenue and profit forecasts and plans (or provide input to plans) based on recommended price changes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 7+ years of marketing experience 
  • 5+ years of experience focused on analyzing product pricing, packaging, and promotions within the B2C or SMB markets
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing consumer-based pricing strategies and models based on market research insights
  • Experience conducting market research and willingness to pay studies to understand consumer preferences
  • Strong understanding of what drives customer behaviors and needs, with the ability to translate insights into pricing strategies
  • Proficiency in performance analytics, data analysis, forecasting, and trend spotting for marketing and eCommerce. 
  • Experience conducting in-depth competitive analysis to identify market trends, competitor pricing, and opportunities for differentiation
  • Familiarity with different pricing analysis methods (Van Westendorp, Conjoint, BPTO, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate with different departments such as Product, Marketing, and Finance
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with experience clearly presenting complex data and pricing strategies to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Compensation Range: $130,000 - $150,000 USD
