SUMMARY OF ROLE

AccuWeather is looking for an experienced technology leader to guide internal operations and strategy centered around Corporate IT functions. This candidate, reporting to the Office of the COO, should have demonstrated experience in running high-performing teams across various technologies in the support of business initiatives. The successful candidate must be able to set objectives and strategies for the IT function, including selecting and implementing all appropriate technologies needed to streamline internal operations to optimize efficiencies and provide strategic benefits.
  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Recruits, interviews, and hires team members in various IT roles
  • Oversees Network Operations Center (NOC) and user support (including remote and executive) by establishing internal SLAs and leveraging internal case/ticket management systems
  • Manage team who supports cellular phones, service plans, and hotspots
  • Manage team who provides hardware and software support to various 24x7 operational teams
  • Supports the finance and sales teams leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Networking (including wireless access points, data lines, and phone systems)
  • Corporate email management, including end user support and SPAM mitigation
  • Communication and collaboration software and systems (i.e., Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
  • Responsible for device management (laptops/desktops/tablets/phones/printers), security, patching, budgeting, inventory & disposal
  • Oversees internal corporate software licensing including budget preparation and annual true-ups
  • HRIS System Management including performance management and training tools
  • Security Compliance including:
    • Litigation holds and backups
    • Retention and destruction policies and enforcement
    • End user security/system patching, updates
    • MFA configuration and enforcement
    • Active Directory/Identity Management, including RBAC management for enterprise apps
    • Process automation including onboarding/offboarding of team members
    • File-serving solutions (i.e., Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive)
  • Billing and payment systems
  • Prepares and implements corporate IT budget
  • Be able to analyze costs, value, and risks for Information technology to advise management and risk management and/or mitigation actions
  • Collaborate with the IT Operations and Security teams to ensure all new systems adhere to the internal standards for Security and Performance before deploying to production

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent training and experience required
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Office 365
  • Proven experience in implementing automation solutions across an enterprise
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Displays a prominent level of critical thinking and analysis in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and inter-departmental challenges
  • Ability to make prompt, sound decisions when faced with complex and often contradictory alternatives that result in successful outcomes
  • Self-driven; strong problem-solving skills; adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent collaboration, reporting, and analytical skills
