Who We Need & What You’ll Do
AccuWeather For Business (AFB) is in search of a Marketing Content Manager to join our team. This position will work closely with the Senior Manager, Lead Generation and the rest of the AFB marketing team to build, develop, and execute AFB’s content marketing strategy. In this position, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a content calendar focused on education, thought leadership, brand awareness, and new business acquisition for the company that ultimately drives leads and revenue. We’re looking for a proactive B2B content creator that loves sharing stories in unique and engaging ways while leveraging product information, topical weather events and imagery. This position requires a strategic thinker who is a relentless team collaborator and has strong, versatile writing abilities. Interest in, and experience with, writing about topics surrounding weather and its impact on business is helpful. In addition, this role will help support sales content and manage overall AFB marketing projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leverage authentic storytelling for the purpose of educating prospects, raising brand awareness, building thought leadership and ultimately attracting target audiences 
  • Plan and create content for various mediums, including – but not limited to – development of the AFB blog, landing pages, email marketing, webinars, social media, digital advertising, articles, infographics, eBooks, etc.
  • Manage and optimize SEO for written content on the company website, landing pages, social media assets and other channels
  • Collaborate with operational teams across all lines of business to craft engaging, educational B2B content, including blog posts, client materials, success stories and sales collateral 
  • Refine and refresh content archive, enhancing SEO and identifying ways to repurpose and utilize our most valuable written assets 
  • Work closely with AccuWeather’s social media and PR team to ensure maximum exposure for AccuWeather for Business products and services 
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager, Lead Generation to execute webinar assets and promotions
  • Support sales opportunities through by helping to plan, create, distribute, and maintain sales tools (one-sheets, presentations, demos, visual aids, letters, RFPs, proposals, etc.)
  • As needed, work with tradeshow personnel to ensure that literature, signage, pre-show publicity, sponsorships, presentations, etc. meet the goals established for each show
  • Collaborate with creative team to develop finished collateral in assigned areas. Own the timely creation, approval, production, and delivery of assigned materials
  • Contribute to daily, overall marketing and business development strategy, including management of Asana tasks, budget and purchase req management, and other duties and administrative tasks as assigned

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field 
  • 3+ years content creation experience in a technical or scientific environment 
  • Experience with an enterprise content management system (CMS)
  • Must be a strong writer with a passion for storytelling 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral presentation 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and driven to exceed goals 
  • Team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a collaborative work environment 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs 
  • Bonus: Familiarity with HubSpot, Asana, ON24 webinar software, and social media platforms
