We are looking for an experienced, results-oriented, and dynamic Senior Product Marketing Manager who will help us build our global, go-to-market strategies. We need a leader who is energized by an entrepreneurial mindset with the unique ability to influence and drive initiatives throughout a highly productive cross-functional team. We will give you the resources needed to confidently understand the competitive landscape and become an expert in the weather category. You will have freedom of autonomy by partnering closely with Product, Design, Brand, and Data Analytics teams to build effective messaging strategies and campaign experiences for our product and feature launches that drive conversion, engagement, and proud outcomes. Your well-established experience and understanding of brand strategy and product positioning will also allow you to develop a smooth collaboration with our product and design teams.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager can work onsite at AccuWeather's offices in New York City or State College, Pennsylvania. Remote candidates are also being considered for this mid-level opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop global product marketing roadmaps, strategies, and plans, including product positioning, narrative, and marketing activation strategies
  • Work with the data analytics team to deliver deep audience & competitive insights to be used in decision making, and leverage product marketing levers to contribute to core metric growth
  • Work cross-functionally to improve the visibility of product marketing efforts, developing a continuous flow of communication among relevant teams
  • Set clear, measurable product marketing goals and track progress against them making continuous recommendations for how we can improve impact
  • Partner with product, brand, design, and data analytics teams to determine what, where, how, and to whom we market key features, based on user needs and business objectives
  • Define the target audience, craft clear positioning statements, clearly articulate and communicate AccuWeather’s unique value proposition to users
  • Coordinate ongoing marketing efforts to grow user awareness, adoption, and retention of AccuWeather’s award winning app and website.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience in product marketing, internet technology, or other relevant digital marketing work
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience driving successful go to market strategies for product and feature launches (aligning product marketing and messaging to a larger brand narrative, translating brand strategy into product marketing output)
  • Distill essential insights from research and create clear and thoughtful creative briefs
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and how to operate within product-led teams; comfort and experience working with product and technology partners
  • Ability to empathize with customers and have a clear understanding of user experience
  • Possess a unique ability to operate both autonomously and collaboratively with a passion for initializing and forging new opportunities as a motivated, self-starter
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate with a data driven mindset and be confidently strategic with user analysis
  • Confident understanding of the mobile app ecosystem
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Distinct understanding of market nuances and cultural differences across countries and how to use those differences to develop business strategies
  • Track record of overseeing multiple products throughout their entire lifecycle: from pre-planning, to launch, to expanding features and maturing the solution post-launch
  • Travel between New York City and State College, Pennsylvania, will be required (when deemed safe)
  • Remote candidates in Canada and the United States are being considered for this opportunity
