AccuWeather is looking for a Video Producer Intern to join our team for the Spring 2019 semester! The Video Producer takes a video project from original concept, through scripting, voicing, video editing and post-production to produce compelling, high interest videos. This is a position that requires a lot of multi-tasking and coordination in our Digital Media Content & Operations department. This is a paid internship that runs from January until May, and is based out of our Headquarters in State College, PA.
What You Will Be Doing
Works closely with content managers to research, write and produce original content on multiple platforms.
Researches and pitches video projects on a daily basis.
Uses social media as a means of researching video projects.
Take charge of assignment from beginning to end, with minimal supervision.
Edits video, produces graphics and works with content manager and broadcasters to produce content.
Generate videos under deadline pressure when needed
Manage and prioritize longer term projects
Adhere to all department policies.
Daily knowledge of current events and pitching related stories to team.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience That We Are Looking For
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Communications major or related field is preferred.
Advanced knowledge and work experience with non-linear editing suites (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, others) is required.
Experience with Monitor Analytics
Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of field and studio cameras
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator
Experience directing in a live studio environment and operation of studio equipment (soundboards, video consoles).
Ability to write in broadcast style.
Superior Customer Service skills are required.
Windows and MAC operating systems knowledge is required.
Regular and predictable attendance is required for this role.
