Role Overview:

Accordion is partnering with Matriculate to hire a class of summer interns to participate in a paid internship during Summer 2025. The internship will help you to understand the power of the business operations function within the context of the Private Equity industry while also allowing you to assess future career interests.

You’ll be exposed to work across the entire breadth of the Accordion Business Operations function including Financial Operations, IT, Marketing, People Team, and Global Operations. As a Business Operations function, we seek to live by our model of PAVE – Partner, Accelerate, Value, and Expertise to bring best-in-class support and leverage to our consultants. During the internship, you will use your curiosity, intellect, work ethic, and technical skills to elevate Accordionites with their work by meaningfully contributing to the internal initiatives as a true strategic partner to our consultants.

All students currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college are encouraged to apply. Preference for students with an expected graduation date of Spring/Summer 2026 - 2027.

This 9-week internship will take place in-person at our headquarters in New York City.

 Ideally, You Have:

  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in finance, math, analytics, accounting, operations, computer science, marketing, human resources, information technology or Private Equity.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong work ethic and a palpable desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ideally, You Are:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Human Resources, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • Tech savvy and comfortable working in Microsoft suite: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • A consummate team player – we’re a scrappy bunch and are looking for interns who are willing to ‘roll up their sleeves’ and take on whatever challenge is thrown their way.
  • Resourceful and organized and possesses strong attention to detail.
  • Curious and proactive (you like to anticipate the next steps once you have context).
  • Someone who likes to figure things out on their own. (Don’t worry, we’ll still give you plenty of direction).
  • Someone who thinks like an owner and takes pride in your own excellent work.
  • Self-aware. You ask questions when you need to; you are eager to learn and grow.

Pay Rate: $35 per hour
