Senior Project Manager
AFS is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will execute activities related to end-to-end project management, including project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment. This person will proactively monitor, manage and report on execution of deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Program Management leadership and oversight over multiple USSF Secure Cloud Platform projects.
- Operate in a matrixed environment providing senior management oversight over multiple complex, technical projects simultaneously.
- Support the development and execution of comprehensive project management approaches, including schedules, deliverables, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective utilization of cloud resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure projects have timely and thorough reporting on AFS Delivery Scorecards, Quality Assurance Delivery reviews, and other regular touchpoints.
- Coordinate with DAF and USSF mission owners and industry partners to maximize opportunities for mission success.
- Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide functional management and leadership to foster professional development for USSF SCP Project Managers.
- Mentor and guide project managers, supporting their professional development and ensuring adherence to project management and organizational best practices.
- Maintain frequent communication and conduct regular 1:1 meetings with the project managers to support tactical execution for their projects.
- Offer constructive feedback and facilitate opportunities for hands-on exposure to different skill areas to aid in professional development, to include recommending relevant training programs and workshops to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
- Support business development efforts within the Secure Cloud Platforms sub-domain and across AFS.
- Help shape acquisition strategy for follow-on efforts and on-contract growth for Secure Cloud Platform USSF projects by leveraging organizational best practices and AFS leadership expertise.
- Lead the development and execution of acquisition strategies to support growth of the USSF portfolio and accelerate mission delivery capabilities.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations on growth initiatives.
- Coordinate with senior and executive level AFS leadership on large strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including DAF and USSF mission partners, industry partners, and internal leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business cases and financial models for potential growth.
- Help develop staffing pipeline and development strategy.
- Coordinate support of internal pipeline and growth processes, using tools like SalesForce, for out-years planning.
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years’ experience in project management in federal contracting space
- Familiarity with cloud computing fundamentals
- Familiarity with federal acquisition processes, contract types and structures, and budget programming cycles and timelines
- Experience managing mid-level and junior business and IT personnel
- Experience with agile software development lifecycle
Bonus Points if you have:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Strong technical aptitude, creativity, communication skills, and cross-group collaboration skills
- Passion for finding process and product solutions for hard problems at scale and building partnerships to operationalize said solutions in new, undefined spaces
Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI level clearance with willingness to sit for a polygraph

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:
$117,200 - $232,800 USD
