The work:
Work with the team to plan, setup and configure Databricks in AWS. You will perform the following:
- Assist with the Databricks cluster setup
- Configure compute resources needed in the Databricks Cluster. Prepare scripts, Policies needed and Plan for Disaster recovery.
- Administer Databricks environment
- Provision users/access as needed
- Setting up and monitoring resource usage and platform performance metrics
- Assist developers in accessing functionality
- Work with the Infra team to manage the Databricks infrastructure
- Assist with Disaster recovery exercises o Manage environment and Data security
- Assist the Senior Oracle DBA in managing On-Prem Oracle databases and AWS Oracle RDS
- Monitor Database performance o Monitor Database backups and restores as necessary
- Manage user provisioning
- Manage Data security functions including role grants/rescinds etc
- Proactively identify possible resource bottlenecks
- Monitor automated patching and patching schedules
- Apply manual patches / upgrades when needed
- Assist with Annual Audits/reviews
Here's what you need:
- Experienced with Agile Project Management
- Experienced Databricks Engineer
- Demonstrates experience with Python, SQL Server, Databricks data
