You Are:
The Oracle Modernization Architect, Senior Manager will review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality and operations requirements. They will review and integrate the technical architecture requirements. They will provide input into final decisions regarding hardware, network products, system software and security. The Oracle Modernization Architect will be an Oracle GoldenGate subject matter expert (SME), with deep technical expertise and experience with data replication, migration, and integration across diverse database systems. A strong Oracle GoldenGate SME will balance technical know-how with practical experience to support data movement, reliability, and seamless integration across systems.

Demonstrated Capabilities:

Technical Proficiency in Oracle GoldenGate:

  • Replication Techniques: In-depth knowledge of replication methods, including unidirectional, bidirectional, and peer-to-peer configurations.
  • Real-Time Data Integration: Familiarity with real-time data integration, transformation, and delivery.
  • Performance Tuning: Experience with GoldenGate performance optimization for high-throughput environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing issues in complex, distributed setups.

Database Expertise:

  • Multiple Database Platforms: Proficiency in Oracle databases, as well as other RDBMSs (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server) if your organization uses multiple systems.
  • SQL and PL/SQL: High-level SQL and PL/SQL knowledge for managing complex data transformations.
  • Data Architecture: Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing to ensure GoldenGate implementations align with architectural requirements.

Implementation Experience:

  • Migration Projects: Hands-on experience in data migration using GoldenGate, especially for complex or large datasets.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of GoldenGate’s role in HA/DR strategies.
  • Security Practices: Understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards to protect sensitive information during replication and migration.

System Integration Skills:

  • Cross-Platform Integration: Ability to integrate GoldenGate with different data sources, cloud environments, and middleware solutions.
  • Automation and Scripting: Skill in scripting (e.g., Shell, Python) for automating routine tasks, monitoring, and error-handling processes.
  • Oracle Data Integration Suite: Familiarity with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and other integration tools may be beneficial.

Analytical and Communication Skills:

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to anticipate challenges and design solutions proactively.
  • Clear Documentation: Skill in creating clear, detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration and Training: Ability to work closely with developers, DBAs, and other teams; experience providing training or knowledge transfer sessions is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with Oracle GoldenGate with deep technical expertise and experience with data replication, migration, and integration
  • Proven track-record of leading innovative teams, while producing tangible results.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Ability to represent Accenture in client-facing roles. 

Bonus Points If:

  • 15+ years of industry experience
  • Oracle Certifications like Oracle Certified Expert – GoldenGate
  • Training in Oracle database management and data integration
  • Experience with Federal Clients

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$160,700 - $306,500 USD
