You are:
A Hardware Installation Specialist, who assists in defining requirements, designing and building data center technology components and testing efforts.
The work:
- The hardware Installation engineer assesses and resolves infrastructure and engineering problems and proposes solutions.
- They will also represent and contribute to the infrastructure engineering aspects for the client when needing to purchase hardware upgrades to support hardware solutions.
- They will also support project managers with site surveys and quality control on projects, equipment, and documentation.
- Provide weekly updates on the status of projects and support written inputs on status reports to customers.
- They will also work with team members in identifying and solving problem areas.
- They will be required to conduct required inventories for all assets owned at numerous sites for mandated tracking purposes and maintain detailed records of project activities.
Here's what you need:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Cisco Routers Switches
- Experience scripting and/or programming in a Unix/Linux/Windows environment
- Experience with automation frameworks including at least one of the following: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt
- Experience designing and implementing runtime architectures or container-based applications using Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Mesos
- Experience designing and implementing Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns
Bonus points if you have:
- Bachelor's in computer science, Engineering or Technical Science
- Previous consulting experience and understanding customer/business needs
- Experience in software development and agile methodologies in a collaborative environment using Git or Subversion
- Experience working with and troubleshooting production workloads, including using application and system monitoring tools
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP
