AFS is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to serve as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of information systems under their purview. Primary support will be working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Military Compartment efforts. The position will provide day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Here's what you need:
- 3+ years of executing computer security principals and support managing cyber risk for an organization, such as those following the Risk Management Framework (RMF), JSIG or other authorization and assessment process
- 3+ years authoring and implementing policy for an enterprise/organization
- 3+ years implementing security practices in a mixed environment, to include Windows, Linux, and Cloud Environments
- In depth operational knowledge of IA controls and secure configurations with proficiency using ACAS, Open SCAP, and IAVM reporting.
- 1+ years of experience in supporting DoD, IC, or Federal Law Enforcement customers in a technical environment
- Must meet an DoD 8570 IAT-II certification requirements, such as CompTIA Security+
Bonus points if you have:
- Proficient with eMASS package development.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
- Familiarity with Splunk
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with providing briefings and speaking to a public audience
- Able to execute autonomously and take ownership
- Experience with Git & automation techniques
- Experience with AGILE and SCRUM processes
- Experience using the Linux Command Line
- Familiarity with cloud principles
- Familiar with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

- TS/SCI clearance is required
