The Work:
The SAP Functional Consultant is responsible for analysis, build and configuration of SAP to meet business process and application requirements related to the client's business process(es). The SAP Functional Consultant and will work closely with architects, developers, technical services teams and the client to perform job functions and responsibilities and/or activities, minding integration between activities and other sub-teams to ensure efficiency. Responsibilities include:
- Maintenance, enhancement and or development work of SAP modules and those that interface with other applications
- Development of functional solution and application design, build, and test
- Development of detailed business process designs and associated documentation
- Development of detailed configuration rationales and designs as well as system configuration build
- Design and documentation, test models and scripts, etc.
Here’s What You Need:
- 4 years of SAP experience in Federal Financials / Public Sector Accounting
- Expert in the Finance, Controlling, and Funds Management modules of SAP ECC 7.0.
- Strong experience in understanding and meeting compliance requirements for Department of Defense (DoD) Laws, Regulations, and Policies (LRPs)
- Experience supporting internal and commercial audit engagements, providing responses and managing corrective actions
- Two full lifecycle implementations
- Extensive experience with the functions related to AA, AP, AR, GL, Budgetary ledger, billings, cash advances and interest expense
- Functional integration experience with other SAP modules specifically with at least one of the following: PS, HR, SD, MM, PP & PM
- 2 years of DoD experience in:
- Reviewing and understand compliance requirements for DoD LRPs relative to SAP configured and delivered capabilities to enable Government Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) operational activities
- Executing life cycle processes to meet the compliance requirements
- Providing active support to for audits with DoDIG, GAO, AAA and other auditing entities
- Developing responses/work-products based on the request from audit agencies
- Reviewing audit agencies reports and recommending corrective action
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience in using BW & ECC queries for financial reporting
- Discrete manufacturing SAP experience
- Solution Sustainment Experience a plus
- Experience with SOC (System and Organization Controls)
- Experience with SSAE 18 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements)
