ACCEL Schools is seeking a qualified individual to join our national team as the Ohio CTE Programs & Grants Manager. We are seeking professionals that prioritize student learning, life skills, career-based interventions, and career development.  ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods. 

The Ohio CTE Programs & Grants Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs across ACCEL Schools' brick-and-mortar institutions in Ohio. This individual will ensure the alignment of CTE pathways with state and federal requirements, foster program development, and support the growth and success of CTE offerings at the school-level. Additionally, the role involves identifying, writing, and securing grants that align with the schools’ career tech goals and opportunities for eligible schools within the Ohio ACCEL Schools network.

Duties Include:

  1. CTE Program Support & Development:
    • Manage and support all career and technical education programs across Ohio-based brick-and-mortar ACCEL Schools.
    • Collaborate with the National CTE team, school leaders, instructors, and staff to ensure CTE programs align with state standards and industry trends.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding CTE programs, including applications for new pathways and programs.
    • Provide guidance in developing new CTE pathways, ensuring they meet the needs of students and the workforce.
    • Maintain strong relationships with local businesses, industries, and post-secondary institutions to create opportunities for student internships, apprenticeships, and certifications.
  2. Grant Management:
    • Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities relevant to CTE programs for ACCEL Schools.
    • Write and submit high-quality grant proposals that meet the eligibility requirements of state, federal, and private funding sources.
    • Ensure proper reporting and compliance with all grant guidelines and regulations.
    • Track and manage grant budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
  3. Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Serve as a point of contact for all matters related to CTE programs and grant opportunities.
    • Work alongside the Senior Program Manager to provide training and professional development for CTE educators and administrators to enhance program effectiveness.
    • Partner with external stakeholders, such as Ohio Department of Education and local community organizations, to promote CTE initiatives and secure additional support.
    • Regularly assess and evaluate the effectiveness of CTE programs, using data-driven approaches to recommend improvements.
  4. Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure all CTE programs adhere to state and federal reporting requirements, including Perkins funding compliance.
    • Prepare and present reports on CTE program outcomes, grant statuses, and performance metrics to school leaders and district administrators.
    • Keep current with changes in state regulations, grant opportunities, and industry demands to align ACCEL Schools with best practices in career education.

Qualifications:

  • Ohio residency required with the ability to travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, career and technical education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing CTE programs or similar education programs.
  • Proven experience in successful grant writing and management.
  • Knowledge of Ohio’s educational landscape, specifically in CTE and workforce development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with state and federal grant compliance, including Perkins funding.

 Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with education networks.
  • Ability to build relationships with external stakeholders, including businesses and community colleges.
  • Strong data analysis skills to evaluate the effectiveness of CTE.
  • Strong writing skills to complete grant applications for multiple schools
