ACCEL Schools is seeking an EMIS Specialist to join its state reporting team. State reporting requirements include student, staff, course, calendar, testing, and financial information.

Responsibilities:
· Maintain history records for Effective Date Records
· Adjust attendance, entry/exit dates, course enrollment records as needed
· Obtain SSID numbers on new students
· Look up and enter District of Residence on new students
· Make address and guardian updates on Contact records
· Enter and update special education disability codes and events, Limited English Proficiency (EL), and Gifted information into the Student Information System (SIS – PowerSchool)
· Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to the Department of Education & Workforce, assuring all EMIS deadlines are met
· Investigate and trouble-shoot Level 1 and Level 2 errors as needed
· Work with the contracted EMIS Coordinator from the ITC (META)
· Attend bi-weekly Teams meetings with the EMIS Coordinators from the ITC
· Uploads data files into the Data Collector for EMIS Processing and Submission of data to the Department of Education & Workforce for the schools that are not under ITC EMIS Coordination.
· Make data corrections from error reports received from the ITC EMIS Coordinators
· Prepare monthly reports for sponsors and RVPs
· Communicate errors/problems, etc. to school end-users and assist them to work through correcting their errors
· Assist with the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) reporting
· Complete Federal Low Income Count System (FLICS) reporting
· Maintain knowledge of state reporting requirements
· Maintain staff data for EMIS reporting in the USPS system
· Attend all professional development offered by the ITC and Department of Education & Workforce
· Attend Team meetings via Teams and in person when needed
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Three years’ prior EMIS experience
· Knowledge of PowerSchool a plus
· Comprehensive EMIS knowledge and Ohio District Data Exchange (ODDEX) proficiency
· Advanced proficiency in data entry and MS Office, including Excel and Word
· Technology competencies and knowledge of software applications (i.e. PowerSchool, SalesForce, USPS, Data Collector, etc.)
· Experience with help desk ticketing systems a plus
· Ability to work well under pressure, and effectively prioritize and execute tasks to consistently meet deadlines
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
· High-quality written and verbal communication skills
· Understanding and ability to manage confidential information
· Ability to work independently and also in a team environment
· Successful completion of state and federal criminal background check
