Sr Product Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

 Inbound Product Management is charged with being the customer’s voice within Accela. They drive execution by translating the customer needs into a compelling and impactful solution-based roadmap. They concentrate on the internal development of a product, including gathering requirements, defining features, and working closely with engineering teams.  They ensure the product meets the user needs and business goals by managing the product roadmap and prioritizing features based on customer feedback and market analysis provided by the Outbound Product Manager.

We are defining innovative solutions for Governments to be more productive and better serve their citizens.  You will create business cases, product roadmaps, product requirements and will interact with senior management, engineering, sales, support, marketing, partners and customers.  The Inbound Product Manager plays a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. This position requires proven communication and collaboration skills and a track record of interacting with technical, product, and marketing teams. You must be self-motivated and have strong leadership skills, good business sense, and experience with SaaS software business and development processes.

 SPECIFIC RESPONDSIBILITIES 

  • Collaborate with the Outbound Product Manager, Professional Services and Executive Leadership to define the success criteria and KPIs that align to business goals; and develop methods to monitor progress.
  • Drive buy-build-partner analysis, and where necessary collaborate with the outbound product manager to review potential partner relationships for the product.
  • Lead business economic and customer adoption models to validate roadmap feature development.
  • Conduct customer research and product experimentation to identify business goals and feature development roadmap.
  • Manage Accela’s end-to-end Implementation Tools feature delivery cycle including conversion of use cases into requirements and development of solutions on an enterprise SaaS platform.
  • Manage Accela’s APIs and integration framework components to support key business objectives for implementation of third-party integrations and robust application development as well as develop standard implementation tools to increase customer return on investment.
  • Own the Accela Implementation roadmap that drives for the best customer experience possible and quickest return on investment.  Work with engineering, outbound product management, and UX leadership to deliver world-class product experiences.
  • Lead as a Product Owner on the SCRUM team, own roadmap, prioritizing the backlog, dependency management, go to market strategy, and cross departmental education.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in full life-cycle Product Management
  • 3+ years of experience in customer facing implementation role
  • Proficient in writing queries to retrieve, analyze, and manipulate data to make informed product decisions.
  • Experience as a product owner in an agile environment
  • Experience identifying and addressing customer needs, building relationships with customers, and communicating with customers in a clear and knowledgeable manner
  • Proven stakeholder management skills working with a cross-functional team to influence and lead across all parts of a geographically distributed organization
  • Proven experience working in a product driven company building a successful solution
  • Previous experience presenting product vision, business results and driving collaborative discussion among large teams, to business stakeholders and executives
  • Previous experience in process automation-oriented enterprise software, low-code configuration tools
  • Technical expertise in SaaS application architecture
  • History of using customer and market research to drive decision making
  • Able to bring order to complex systems by identifying patterns in customer usage
  • Proven track record of delivering successful enterprise software or SaaS products
  • Have led a migration of a legacy products and feature sets to a newer products/technology
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a track record of measuring and reporting key performance indicators including revenue, market adoption, margin and up-sell/cross sell

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Accessibility conformance, using Accessibility tools like AXE, JAWS, Total Validator; Have taken any general or specific training in Accessibility for the web
  • Experience working with State and Local government
  • Technical experience implementing SaaS software

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $175,000. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this role is eligible to earn commissions.
