Software Engineering at 84.51° incorporates big data, data science & analytics, and software development to build software tools that enable Kroger and their consumer-packaged goods (CPG) partners to drive value through better understanding of and engagement with shoppers.
As a Software Engineer in the Development Program, you will participate in an intensive, jump-start training to develop your business acumen and technical skills across a range of open source technologies and big data practices.
The Development Program has cohorts starting in January and June at our Cincinnati, OH Headquarters and the Chicago, IL office.
During your first 10 weeks, you will receive training around who we are, what we do, and how we do it. Following your training, you will be assigned to a Scrum team doing software development that incorporates both application and data development skillsets. Application development involves writing scalable software to transform raw data into insightful solutions. Data development involves creating robust and scalable data solutions that underpin our core capabilities.
