Director, Data & Advanced Analytics (DAA) Strategy & Operations  P2494

As a member of the 84.51° leadership team reporting to the Chief Data & Technology Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the teams responsible for delivering Data and Advanced Analytics (DAA) solutions that unlock significant business value for Kroger. You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive DAA strategy, fostering collaboration across 84.51° and Kroger Technology & Digital (KTD) to ensure maximum effectiveness. 

Responsibilities 

  • Drive the DAA Strategy: Lead the creation, refinement, and execution of a 3-5-year strategic plan for 84.51/Kroger DAA function. This plan will define focus areas, investment strategies, and infrastructure needs to achieve business objectives.
  • Champion AI Integration: Spearhead the development and implementation of the enterprise-wide artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, maximizing the value of Kroger's data assets.
  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Independently lead key strategic initiatives critical to advancing 84.51°'s capabilities and Kroger's ability to unlock business value through data and analytics.
  • Foster Operational Alignment: Define and oversee the execution of operating routines across DAA teams within 84.51° and KTD. This includes ensuring alignment, removing roadblocks, tracking performance, and driving strategic progress.
  • Establish Performance Measurement: Develop and track a robust framework of OKRs and performance metrics in collaboration with functional and business leaders.
  • Deliver on Reporting Requirements: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all DAA-related reports as defined by 84.51° and Kroger leadership.
  • Communicate & Advocate: Create compelling communications materials to educate and enroll key stakeholders in understanding and adopting the DAA strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:  

  • 10+ years experience driving large scale business initiatives & transformation 
  • Bachelors in business, Masters degree preferred 
  • Strong understanding of data management, advanced analytics, and Artificial Intelligence principles.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic plans for large technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize disparate data and perspectives into strategic points of view and roadmaps 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with business partners and executive leadership.
  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, analytics, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Highly collaborative, with an ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization 
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, with an ability to tailor messaging across all levels and different audiences within an organization 
  • Proven track record of building trusting and productive relationships with business partners, leaders, and peers
