TITLE: Director, Technical Program Lead (Rapid Development)  P2850

Summary

As a Program Lead (Rapid Development) for Labs, you are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our stakeholders and partners. You are accountable for the mission of the rapid dev team of the Labs (Creates new prototypes and MVPs to demonstrate value of new solutions and deploy throughout the enterprise). You are decisive and are relentless in providing clarity so teams can move quickly to meet Labs ROI (Return on Investment) objectives. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to champion innovation and build solutions that accelerate time to market and create new value for the organization. You blend deep commitment to developing products and solutions with a passion for creating a strong innovative culture by coaching, and mentoring associates. You are accountable in an on-going direction to ensure business goals meet or exceed customers' short- and long-term requirements. Your customers will understand the value being delivered because of your strong relationships and clear articulation of value. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering business results and deliver against Labs ROI objectives
  • Accountability for playing a critical role in ensuring research translates into successful applications (prototypes and MVPs), which involves user discovery, prioritization, value assessment and value delivery of your value stream. Make data driven decisions
    • Deliver against Labs targets. Securing buy-in and resources from business teams for incubation projects.
    • Define measurable outcomes (OKRs) for the teams so success is clear and measurable
    • Own and maintain a value delivery roadmap for Labs
    • Ensure there is clarity and focus for the teams to achieve these outcomes. Provide priority calls where necessary
    • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are maximizing and realizing the outcomes of the Labs 
    • Articulate value of work clearly so it is well understood
    • Ensure our solution helps accelerate our business strategies and goals

 

  • Supporting and empowering the team to achieve business outcomes
    • Working with Program Lead and Function Leaders to align the talent (functional mix) needed to get results and customer outcomes for business unit/program
    • Lead the day-to-day activities within the value stream and empower team members through feedback on work-in-progress, clarifying requirements and answering questions to ensure that commitments are achieved while improvements are being made
    • Ensure the teams in your value stream have the support they need to be successful

 

  • Enable a strong, innovative, and collaborative culture. Partner with Function Leaders to attract, develop, and retain key talent
  • Work with Function Leaders to provide feedback on Team members to help improve individual and group performance, as well as to support performance management responsibilities led within the Functions
  • Relentlessly pursue customer adoption through a deep understanding of the challenges your customers face
  • This role reports to the Labs Lead.

Qualification, Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience empowering and bringing out the best in cross-functional technology teams.
  • Proven experience empowering and bringing out the best in people, while at the same time having a strong execution focus to help the team get the work done
  • Highly skilled in managing business priorities against design/user needs while delivering against innovation roadmaps
  • Domain knowledge and strong understanding of how customers use the products and capabilities of that domain. Relentless pursuit of user adoption and satisfaction.
  • Comfortable leading cross-functional teams, advising, influencing, and empowering team members
  • Bring a data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day management and in making strategic tradeoffs. Intellectually curious and love learning new skills and capabilities, i.e., agile principles and technology platforms
  • Understanding of best practices in data science, engineering and technical
  • Committed to mentoring and developing Team members to become the next generation of Program Leads
  • Bias towards action with an ability to get results near term as well as the ability to zoom out and connect the day-to-day work to our large mission.
  • Positive relationship building, interpersonal and influencing skills to achieve alignment throughout the organization
  • 6-8+ years relevant experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
