Senior Solution Design Consultant – Supply Chain, Operations & Replenishment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Solution Design Consultant at 84.51°, you are working closely with 84.51° technical & scientific teams, Kroger business stakeholders & CPGs to integrate data science solutions into Kroger business initiatives that contribute to the overall success of the business.  You will support customer integrations of forecasting products & translating value to each team to ensure the long-term success of cutting-edge data science capability integration, specifically related to Kroger sales forecasting solutions.

Your primary area of focus will be sales forecasting science and the myriad of Kroger business use-cases that leverage 84.51° forecast science and the Kroger Technology & Digital technical applications that consume these forecasts. This technical consulting role will also help to facilitate a unified approach to forecasting in collaboration with the 84.51° Forecasting Center of Excellence & Unified Forecasting project.  Given this technical focus, it is important to understand and be able to communicate different ways of measuring forecast accuracy (ie/ WAPE & Bias), and think start to consider how that forecast accuracy impacts Kroger business outcomes.  It also requires understanding of how data science solutions are integrated across Enterprise Resource Planning systems, including engineering capabilities like APIs.

Forecast science is used across Kroger Merchandising, Supply Chain & Operations business teams, and it is important to have cross-functional stakeholder management & communication skills.  To operate effectively in this domain, you are expected to have a background in forecasting, system integrations, supply chain or operations, and be prepared to learn both the current state of the business as well as the innovations that are impacting and disrupting this area. 

This job responsibilities include:

  • Support recurring forecast science business meeting with Kroger Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations & Kroger Technology/Digital teams.
  • Prepare forecast science measurement recaps for business stakeholders.
  • Support business communication & preparation of new releases for forecast science capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the 84.51° Forecast Center of Excellence on Unified Forecasting business use-cases.
  • Participate in Store-Item-Day Forecast Science meetings with the 84.51° Forecast Center of Excellence to support the Store Ordering forecast use-case.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment that is a little unorthodox at times and will possess the following:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Forecasting, Supply Chain and/or Operations
  • Experience with data science, integration, and measurement
  • Strong technical skills as it relates to understanding data science and how it is best integrated into business processes

  • Relationship management skills
  • Strong Business/commercial acumen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Tools and process acumen
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred but not required)
