The primary purpose of the position will be to effectively lead a small team of billing analysts to deliver operational and performance excellence, optimizing resources to ensure all key targets and objectives are met; ensuring processes are adopted; deliver accurate, complete & timely billing services; provide analytical and qualitative review of billing data; and ongoing personal and team development.

This role is responsible for leading and delivering work in support of the 84.51˚ vision and goals, as well as building client/stakeholder relationships at a senior level and developing strategies and plans for clients.


  • Ensure all billing and collection activities are completed accurately and timely, maximizing on-time revenue capture and proactively approaching billing issues to optimize realized revenue and minimize nonremittance
  • Lead the monthly billing cycle, including analytic reviews and the interface of data to the financial system
  • Oversee day to day activities of team members and monitor work assignments to ensure all resources are fully utilized
  • Proactively recommend continuous improvements to maximize efficiency and accuracy of existing systems and processes, creating or improving major 84.51˚ ways of working, processes/services, products, tools and/or initiatives
  • Liaise with internal teams to facilitate changes to billing for new and existing products
  • Analyze large volumes of data to generate valuable insights, prepare comprehensive reporting, reconciliations, quality assurance checks, audits, and trend analysis
  • Act as a primary escalation point for operational issues in the team
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Coordinate with IT on system issues to establish priorities
  • Review of manual billing for accuracy and approval of high dollar value invoices
  • Train and coach team members to support their personal development and departmental KPIs
  • Review departmental procedure documentation to ensure it is accurate and meets all standards
  • Personal development / participate in development training to meet personal potential


  • At least 7+ years of experience managing billing function
  • Ability to deal with complex billing issues
  • Effective time management - ability to set priorities to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Effective task delegation and follow-up
  • Ability to train and coach staff
  • Experience in handling Billing processes, Billing systems and tools for standard billing activities in Telecommunication domain
  • Experience in leading small teams and managing people
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 preferred
