ACCOUNTING REVENUE MANAGER (G3)

SUMMARY: The Revenue Accounting Manager role is responsible for the oversight of multiple streams of revenue and BOC, and general accounting duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that Partnership revenue is recorded appropriately based on company revenue recognition guidelines and GAAP, including equity method earnings
  • Utilize appropriate data governance to allow for the posting of accurate results for management reporting purposes in areas of responsibility
  • Determine appropriate revenue recognition and process flow for new products in areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for cost of sales, including accrual and reconciliation process in areas of responsibility
  • Ensure that partner receipts and payments comply with partnership agreements
  • Responsible for reviewing new partnership agreements  
  • Responsible for continuous process improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for appropriate bad debt reserve calculations related to partnerships
  • Manage review of reconciliations of various General and Sub-ledger accounts
  • Understand the collection and cash application process and assist in problem resolution in areas of responsibility
  • Attend and initiate meetings with external partners’ finance and accounting departments
  • Collaborate with Finance and Product Development Teams to ensure appropriate capitalization of people costs
  • Fixed Asset responsibilities
  • Ability to work on large projects with little or no direction and have a point of view for resolution
  • Responsible for successfully partnering with many roles within 84.51°, Accounting, Finance, CFO, Business & Client Leadership, Kroger, Business Systems and Credit and Collections, and be a company representative when interacting with external clients

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA / CPA Preferred)
  • 3-5 years of Big 4 Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with D365 and Salesforce preferred but not required
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate within a team environment, both internally and externally
  • Ability to execute detailed work independently and accurately, particularly with large quantities of data from multiple sources
