Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM) enables brands to deliver relevant messages, offers and experiences through direct-to-consumer communications through digital advertising and in-store activation. As Programmatic Media Product Strategy and Innovation Lead you will be responsible for developing new media products for Kroger Precision Marketing’s programmatic and Private Marketplace offerings. The ideal candidate has background in building media and product strategy, with experience in programmatic ad technologies. This candidate fully understands the advertising landscape, ad tech environments, and has a passion for pushing the status quo. In this role, the candidate will create and assist in building the KPM roadmap, implement business processes, and collaborate with programmatic ad tech partners inclusive of DSPs, exchanges and ad servers. You will work closely with the Director of Media Product Strategy to deliver against financial commitments for the programmatic product mix, continually strengthening the product suite & delivering strong ROAS to advertisers.
This job will focus on several key initiatives:
Bring new, and innovate existing programmatic products to market
Work with cross-functional teams within product, data & analytics and engineering teams to bring new opportunities to market
Monitor and recognize key industry trends and evaluate product market impact and provide recommendations
Develop strong relationships with media and ad tech partners to build and create new and unique product offerings
Develop and scale new solutions from ideation, stakeholder assessment and alignment, capability requirements development, partner evaluation, pilot testing and launch
Own launch plan for new solutions across deliverable design & sales team training
Develop and create monetization strategy for your product portfolio in partnership with KPM’s finance teams
Act as the subject matter expert for our core solutions both internally and externally – continually evaluating the industry landscape, staying current on competitive research and maintaining distance for our product portfolio
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
The right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and must possess the following:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, statistics or analytics.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant digital marketing experience (ad tech or agency), with a minimum of 3 years of relevant programmatic ad tech experience as a product strategist or buyer
Knowledge of key DSPs inclusive of Google, TheTradeDesk, Adobe, MediaMath, DataXu and more
Knowledge of key programmatic exchange platforms & operational elements
Experience in developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms & reviewing contracts
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, people, and diplomacy skills are required
