As the Business Development Representative, Mid-Market at 7shifts you will help drive revenue for our Outbound sales team by reaching out to Mid-Market companies in the restaurant industry to generate and qualify new business leads and get them excited about our product. Reporting to the Manager of Mid-Market Sales, you will contribute to team and departmental objectives by offering feedback around our outbound processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Generate new business leads by targeting companies in the restaurant industry with 10+ locations and book meetings for the Mid-Market Account Executive team 
  • Prospect for potential customers using various methods such as calling, emailing, social selling,  networking, and possibly in-person meetings
  • Develop a targeted account portfolio by effectively managing activities and lead pipeline in Salesforce
  • Leverage assistance from third-party partners, 7shifts marketing leaders, and others to maximize collaboration
  • Understand and articulate 7shifts’ value proposition and sales pitch to effectively attract qualified buyers
  • Hit daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, as well as achieve monthly quotas
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate our processes 
  • Stay up to date with the competitive market, especially in the restaurant industry
  • Potential to travel to industry events within the market, including, but not limited to: trade shows, customer conferences, and hospitality alliances within North America

What you bring:

  • Previous experience working in a strategic quota-carrying outbound sales role 
  • Experience working in the restaurant industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathic listening skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize your days
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A track record of achievements or competitive success
  • A positive attitude and ability to work as a team
