Overview of Role

66degrees is seeking an Automation Delivery Lead to engage on a 6 month contract to hire remote assignment for one of our clients in the insurance domain.

The ideal resource will be a motivated and technically proficient hands-on Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of software projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will leverage your strong technical background and experience in Scrum, project management, and development to guide and support the team throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing development team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. 
  • Identify and resolve impediments or roadblocks that hinder the team's progress. Motivate and inspire the team to achieve project goals and deliver exceptional results. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.  
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery. Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders regularly. 
  • Possess a solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing SQL queries and basic JavaScript code. Contribute to technical discussions and provide guidance on technical challenges. 
  • Collaborate with the team to design efficient, scalable automation solutions that meet business needs, incorporating RPA and other relevant and various technologies, including database, web, and various SaaS
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance team efficiency and productivity. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Delivery Manager in an agile software development environment; 2+ years of experience in a Delivery Leadership role.
  • Hands on approach is required; someone who is hungry to learn, who has the drive, passion and attitude to grow their career
  • 7 + years of experience in automation delivery, project management or a similar role within digital transformation. Experience in managing RPA (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) or AI-driven projects is preferred however not required
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Understanding of basic development, database knowledge, writing basic Java Script and SQL.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 

Additional Desired Skills

  • Proficiency with tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism or similar is a plus
  • Project Management certification is a plus
