The role

As the Director Operations Learning & Development you’ll become the key leader driving continuous learning, upskilling & development throughout our international Distribution Centre (DC) Operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and managing comprehensive training programs. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders of our international markets to identify training needs, designing effective learning solutions, and ensuring the workforce is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve business objectives and excel in their roles.

What you’ll do

  • Identify and assess the training needs of the international HelloFresh DC Operations organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with leaders to support delivery of international fulfillment strategy and yearly plans.
  • Create and deploy an international learning strategy including skill matrix and associated learning programs for DC Operations employees as well as DC leadership roles. 
  • Develop and implement learning methods and systematic workflows internationally (i.e. training on the job, process training, upskilling,  job-shadowing, online training) including associated training materials.
  • Develop and deploy effective onboarding / induction programmes according to role and operational needs.
  • Monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of deployed training and development programs and to ensure training is meeting business needs. 
  • Closely collaborate with key stakeholders (Operations, People, Operational Excellence) regarding all learning topics to drive the learning strategy accordingly.
  • Build a robust local L&D team structure in collaboration with international markets.
  • Own learning budgets, negotiate contracts, build and maintain relationships with third-party training providers. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in learning trends, changes in learning theory, and developments in learning technologies

What you’ll bring

  • Successfully completed academic degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development or Organizational Psychology;
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs for different workforce levels;
  • Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms;
  • A strategic thinker who has successfully implemented business strategies and realized business benefits in a global environment, including diverse cultures;
  • A collaborator with the ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams;
  • strong organizational and project management skills, a goal-oriented approach to work;
  • Creative and innovative, with the ability to efficiently execute against several competing tasks and projects while also managing a team of Learning & Development Specialists;
  • Focused on effective and inclusive teamwork with the capability to thrive in an autonomous environment working with a diverse set of stakeholders;
  • Customer service focused - hospitality and a contagious positive attitude are key
