Summary

The IT Business Analyst will support both the IT and business technology initiatives. This position will work closely with our Product and Project Managers and will be responsible for providing business analyst support through the elicitation of scope and requirements from cross-functional stakeholders to deliver new features and capabilities that drive our business forward. This position is also responsible for ensuring Engineering, Quality Assurance, and User Acceptance Testing teams have the required detail to deliver to defined requirements. As an IT Business Analyst, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT team members to document processes, gather enhancement requests, and play a key role in user acceptance testing and internal IT system testing.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication and organization abilities, and a demonstrated history of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Management to execute the IT roadmap in cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and create supporting artifacts.
  • Provide analytical support for large transformational projects through activities such as requirements workshops, process mapping exercises, and gap analysis.
  • Lead grooming and clarification sessions to provide Engineering, QA, and UAT teams with detailed requirements to develop and test against.
  • Trace requirements through the delivery lifecycle from definition to release.
  • Partner with and lead User Acceptance Testers to ensure the delivered product meets the business objectives and launch criteria.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand field operations and order management processes and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Work with the IT and Business teams on data migration efforts, ensuring the seamless transition of data from legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics while maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
  • Create comprehensive and detailed documentation of business processes, user requirements, and enhancement requests to support effective system development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather requirements, clarify business needs, and translate them into functional specifications for system enhancements.
  • Work with developers to determine the impact to existing functionality and ensure that updates and changes do not negatively impact user groups.
  • Create business communications regarding new releases, bug fixes, and training.
  • Inform team, users, and management of trends, significant issues, or delays impacting efforts.
  • Provide business use case input on project initiatives.
  • Play a pivotal role in user acceptance testing by designing test cases, coordinating testing efforts, and ensuring that enhancements meet business expectations.
  • Assist the development teams in internal IT system testing to ensure the stability and performance of Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Analyze complex business challenges and propose effective solutions using Microsoft Dynamics capabilities and functionalities.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Microsoft Dynamics functionality, ensuring smooth adoption and efficient use of the system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or Information Systems required.
  • Requires at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps for agile task management or similar tools preferred (ie. Jira, Wrike, Monday.com).
  • Experience working in agile delivery models preferred.
  • Agile/SCRUM certification preferred.
  • Digital experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP Systems.
  • Experience in the areas of Sales, Finance, Supply Chain preferred.
  • Experience in data migrations, working with business to map their data to new structures.
  • Experience in documenting business processes and user requirements.
  • Knowledge of accounting transactions and financial reporting.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling complex business challenges.
