What We’re Looking For:

The Licensure/Credential Specialist will be expected to complete a variety of responsibilities to support the Professional Licensure team, internal constituents, and our university partners. The position is responsible for researching, interpreting, and maintaining an understanding of programmatic details for programs that lead to professional licensure/credential. This role is designed to facilitate our university partners' decision making process for making determinations in relation to licensure/credentialing, as required by the Department of Education and many state regulators. Other responsibilities will involve coordinating projects and internal logistics around ongoing initiatives. This individual must have excellent written and oral communication skills, great attention to detail, an impeccable work ethic, a solution-oriented attitude, the ability to multitask and work across multiple teams, and proficiency in Google Workspace (e.g. Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc.) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Research and Data Collection

    • Finding and interpreting state and/or federal regulations relevant to various industries that require a license or credential
    • Creating documentation meant to be used for collecting and organizing the researched information 
    • Maintaining all documentation related to assigned programs and projects 
    • Assisting with building resources to enhance operations within and outside of the Compliance Department 

Collaboration and Communication

    • Ability to work with peers and colleagues with different levels of tenure in the pursuit of common objectives
    • Communicates research findings and appropriate assessments clearly and concisely, either written or verbally 

Relationship Management 

    • Establishing and maintaining trust with external stakeholders (e.g., University partners, state boards, and agencies related to licensure) through timely responsiveness, open communication, and delivering on requests 
    • Building internal team relationship through proactive engagement and participation in team building


    • Reviewing marketing materials associated with the federal licensure disclosure process to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness
    • Assisting with other compliance-related initiatives

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations is required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in data collection and/or research
  • Previous experience working in academia and/or with federal, state or local regulatory authorities
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($55,000 - $60,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
