Join our Infrastructure Operations team as an analyst and play a vital role in maintaining effective communication channels during critical incidents. You'll be responsible for promptly and efficiently responding to incidents, ensuring stakeholders are informed, and providing clear and concise communication updates. When you are not actively involved in an incident, you will be responsible for documentation, process improvements, and helping engineers with post-incident analyses. What You Will Do
- Lead and manage the prompt and efficient response to critical incidents, ensuring accurate and timely communication updates to stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive and effective communication strategies and processes, enhancing incident response and stakeholder communication.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing expertise and support in handling complex incidents and improving communication efficiency.
- Oversee incident queues and communication channels, ensuring all incoming messages are acknowledged and responded to within the appropriate timeframe.
- Work closely with technical teams to gather and translate incident details into clear, non-technical language for stakeholders, leveraging your deep technical knowledge.
- Maintain composure and provide effective communication during high-pressure situations, serving as a role model for the team.
- Document and improve incident communication procedures, best practices, and lessons learned, contributing to the continuous enhancement of communication processes.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics, providing valuable insights to enhance communication efficiency and effectiveness.
- Remain updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in incident communication and stakeholder management.
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit
- You have a strong background in technology and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure terminology.
- You have proven experience in managing critical incidents and crafting effective communication strategies during high-pressure situations.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting comprehensive post-incident reports, including impact analysis, root cause identification, and effective remediation strategies.
- Proficiency in analyzing and correlating logs from diverse environments, including various Operating Systems, public clouds, firewalls, and dashboards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide accurate and effective communication during complex incidents.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working under pressure.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a natural inclination for collaboration and teamwork.
- An eagerness to continue learning and growing in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of technical concepts and terminology related to IT infrastructure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to remain composed and lead effectively during high-stress incidents.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Working in a 12-hour shift model (day/night).
Bonus Skills
- Deep understanding of incident management processes and frameworks.
- Previous experience in incident response, stakeholder communication, or a related field at a senior level.
