What We Need
2K China is looking for a passionate Associate Manager, Social & Community Marketing to drive local community engagement, lead local social channels, and grow our presence across all 2K titles in China. This role will focus on building awareness of the 2K brand and its titles and fostering an active community through strategic social media management and engagement initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Community Marketing
- Engage and build relationships with players across key local community platforms in China.
- Identify and develop long-term partnerships with community leaders to strengthen brand presence.
- Collaborate with 2K title leads to craft and execute an annual community strategy, ensuring alignment with key performance goals.
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize community initiatives and improve engagement.
- Monitor community sentiment, provide real-time feedback to internal and global teams, and ensure clear, effective communication with the community.
- Facilitate community leader engagement in global and regional marketing activations.
Social Marketing
- Manage 2K China’s official local channels, including Weibo, Bilibili, Douyin, and Heybox, while continuing to expand social outreach in other social platforms.
- Develop interactive social content and collaboration opportunities with leading brands in China to enhance engagement.
- Work closely with 2K title leads to craft an annual social strategy, ensuring consistent brand exposure, supporting new product launches, and sustaining engagement for existing titles.
- Be responsible for social media agencies to ensure daily operations align with 2K’s global channel, drive localized content creation, and provide regular performance reports to title leads.
- Support title leads in driving major localized creative activations across social channels.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends, engagement metrics, and player sentiment, taking appropriate action to maintain an authentic and positive brand presence.
- Drive acquisition of social followers and be responsible for content views and engagement annual targets
What Will Make You A Great Fit
- A lifelong gamer with a strong passion for PC and console gaming; familiarity with 2K titles is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in community management or social marketing within the gaming industry.
- Deep understanding of China’s gaming community and expertise in navigating local social media platforms.
- Strong ability to collaborate with global teams and tailor strategies for the China market.
- Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience in social listening, analytics, and reporting tools.
- Native-level proficiency in Chinese with a good grasp of social and community language.
- Business-level proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Adaptable and willing to support additional tasks, including creator collaborations, creative development, and PR events.
- Open to occasional travel (up to 5% of working time) as needed.
