Dev QA Test Lead
Cloud Chamber is looking for an experienced Dev QA Lead to join our studio. You will be responsible for guiding our internal QA team in providing a seamless and exceptional game development process. In this role, you’ll work closely with the QA Manager and team leadership to drive testing coverage across all development pods, proactively identifying challenges and ensuring smooth communication. As a Lead, you’ll be responsible for vetting issues, assigning tasks, and supporting testers in their test planning. Beyond technical leadership, you’ll also focus on mentoring your team—helping them grow their skills, advance their careers, and maintain their well-being in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Job Details:
- Lead and support the Dev QA team, ensuring efficient test execution and issue tracking.
- Collaborate with QA leadership and development teams to align on testing strategies.
- Manage and mentor your team, fostering career growth, skill development, and overall well-being.
- Oversee test planning, assign tasks, and validate reported issues.
- Ensure quality standards are met at every stage of development.
- Triage and vet bugs reported each day in our bug tracking database.
- Coordinate and report on testing efforts with all disciplines and project stakeholders.
- Create and review Testrail Test Suites & cases.
- Create documentation for QA testing processes.
- Manage and resolve questions and concerns from the QA team.
- Monitor and adjust tester workloads as necessary.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience leading a team of development testers, or applicable management experience.
- Able to work independently & autonomously, as well as part of a team.
- Able to accurately follow through on task instructions.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate complex development environments.
- Expertise in test planning, issue vetting, and task management.
- Passion for supporting and developing team members to reach their full potential.
- Self-motivated, a positive force multiplier, great team-player attitude.
- Able to partner with a diverse group of personalities effectively and constructively.
- Flexible and collaborative mindset and attitude.
- Uncompromising ethics and unwavering integrity.
