What We Need
This role will be part of the Commercial Strategy & Operations team that is responsible for title P&L, business growth strategy, and commercial operations globally. We partner across the organization to align on business objectives and then execute against them with efficiency. This role will focus principally on the high-profile BioShock franchise.
The Manager will be instrumental in driving the long-term strategy for BioShock, ensuring financial targets are met and analyzing opportunities for franchise expansion. This role will lead the development of comprehensive financial forecasts and decision models.
The ideal candidate will have proven credentials in defining strategies of a consumer product or service across multiple territories. They will combine rigorous market and performance analysis alongside formulation of creative short-to-long-term strategies, and a drive to see them executed. Experience in gaming is not expected; however the candidate should have a demonstrated interest in the industry.
Candidates must be bright, passionate, and hands-on. A successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in developing and maintaining complex financial models, and provide succinct analyses to inform a wide range of business decisions. They will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Build financial models, using internal and external data, to forecast business growth, guide business decisions and estimate the size of growth opportunities
- Identify commercial strategies that will drive growth of the BioShock business globally, through new games, business models, pricing strategies, partnerships, and content
- Build business cases to analyze new strategic ideas, through rigorous analysis of internal data and market benchmarks
- Provide insights into catalogue and franchise performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to a wide range of stakeholders, from global leadership to local marketing teams
- Partner with various teams (Marketing, Sales, Live Services, Product Development, Analytics) to identify and drive opportunities and initiatives
- Define pricing, promotional, and annual SKU strategies for the BioShock franchise
- Contribute to the creation and optimization of key financial dashboards, reports and analysis across a diverse product catalog
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit
- 5+ years relevant work experience, including 2+ years within a strategy, commercial or business development role in a fast-moving digital business (e.g. video games, e-commerce, subscription businesses, or other consumer internet)
- Other relevant prior experience could be in commercial operations, strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or in-house strategy
- Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study (e.g. business, economics, computer science, mathematics)
- Experience with turning strategies into reality and driving execution with cross-functional teams
- Integrity in working with others across various levels and personality types, and ability to successfully navigate a global organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of clearly presenting findings
- Ability to build business cases / financial models in Excel from scratch
- Expert level Excel (i.e., Excel functions, statistical functions), Tableau and the aptitude to quickly learn other financial and reporting software
Bonus Points
- Passion for gaming, especially strategy games like Civilization, XCOM and others
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, Snowflake

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $123,500 and $182,780 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
